Just got back from an AWESOME weekend in Tahoe! Our last day was made even better after stopping by at Ski Renter. Phil, the store Manager, was hilarious and really made us feel welcome. He not only advised us about the appropriate gear to wear for the activities we were going to do, but also gave us honest recommendations on the best slopes for these activities.

Although I was a tad put off when he slammed Heavenly for being money-grubbers & stealing business from the smaller rental companies & ski resorts, I soon realized how true his words were after our first trip there!! What a rip off!! Just glad we got a decent rate on our rentals (snow boots + snow pants = $12 + $9 for the whole day) from this place!

We’ll definitely be renting from them in the future & I wanted to make sure others know about them so you can kit up before you get to the slopes, rather than stand in long lines and pay ridiculous rates for the gear. I was toasty warm in my snow pants & only wish I’d gotten the boots the day before as well!! Live & learn

Yes, i have to agree with the first reviewer. we just met Phil, the owner, this past weekend for ski rental for Heavenly. Great prices (make sure you print off the 20% off voucher – If you call, Phil will tell you to do the same!) and the skis were perfect. They actually were the best skies I have used in years. Not the newest I have seen but when I asked Phil about them he was able to explain why I liked them based on the shape and my ski style. I like to carve and the skies had a more narrow middle than the ones I have been using. He also sells 1-2 season old performance skies that you can try before you buy. Can’t go wrong. We will use his ski service again and again.
